A Day at Bootcamp

Every day is different. But coffee, hacking, and teamwork are always involved.

Lectures and hands-on coding time

Grab some coffee and settle in… by 9am instructors will introduce the coding topic of the day. A short lecture is followed by class exercises to get you applying the day’s topic.

Team discussions

Hack away until lunch, working individually or within small groups. Instructors help with specific questions and facilitate team discussions. From 12:30 to 2pm students can grab lunch, play Frisbee golf, or eat in class while working on their projects. The choice is yours.

Guest speakers and reflection

Afternoons are similar to mornings, although nearly every week there’s a special guest speaker or new activity. The day typically wraps around 6pm following peer group meetings to reflect on what went well.

Connect with the Local tech scene

After class, numerous events on campus or at nearby companies foster additional learning, networking and social interaction. Our partners host a number of job fairs, Meetups, and happy hour events. It’s a great way to meet new colleagues and make positive first impressions with hiring managers.

Get inspired and stay connected

Our dedicated education partners are available for networking and career coaching long after graduation. Alumni often stop by campus to update staff on their current projects, or to talk with new students about life after graduation.

“I made some great friends and got a great job, and I cannot tell you how happy I am. I solve puzzles every day, design beautiful websites, and go home every night happy (and well paid!). Thanks to everyone at RefactorU, I love what I do and do what I love.”
