THE DAGUERREOTYPE: AN ARCHIVE OF SOURCE TEXTS, GRAPHICS, AND EPHEMERA

The research archive of Gary W. Ewer regarding the history of the daguerreotype

DISPLAY & GRAPHIC ADVERTISEMENTS (in alphabetical order)

Provided here are illustrated and display advertisements from newspapers, periodicals, and other print publications. These advertisements are included in the general arrangement by name, but are also listed here separately for their specific graphic interest.

Two documents are provided for each entry: a pdf-format document with full notes, and supplemental graphic file providing a good-quality jpg-format file.

Please note: A quirk of the popular browser extension, "AdBlock," tends to block the "advertising" graphics in this section. The remedy is to manually adjust the settings of AdBlock to add (or "whitelist"...or filter-to-allow) this domain— http://www.daguerreotypearchive.org/ —as an exclusion to its block function.
